Ferdinando Ghelli studied architecture and design in Florence. and worked as a designer for all the leading Italian theatres.  He was known also for his television work, both in opera and drama.  These productions include Boris Godunov,  L' elisir d' amore,  Blood Wedding and Mata Hari.
