Debut of American Lulu

The UK premiere of this opera is the last operatic offering of this year's Edinburgh International Festival. Only two performances are being given of this production that opened at the Bregenzer Festspiele and goes on to the Young Vic.
Award-winning Austrian composer Olga Neuwirth has prepared a new version of Berg's iconic composition, left unfinished at his death. Several endings have previously been proposed for the work, and this radical reworking offers a new one. Co-produced by The Opera Group, Scottish Opera, Bregenze Festspiele and the Young Vic in association with the London Sinfonietta.
