The Rousbey staging of Faust collected good reviews for three successive weeks in Edinburgh, Aberdeen and Dundee.

As had become standard practice wherever an opera company toured up and down the country, the Soldiers' Chorus was accompanied by members of the local army band, to enthusiastic applause from the audience.
