The Beggar Student here received its third performance in Scotland. There were two major changes in the cast since the previous visit. George Snazelle had left the company, to be replaced by another expert comic in the form of Aynsley Cook, and the leading tenor Fred Packard took over the title role from the rapidly rising star Ben Davies. No further revival occurred.
