Seumas Begg studied in Manchester at RNCM and is currently training in Glasgow under Scott Johnson on the opera course at RCS.

Operatic roles at college include RNCM (Mathurin L'ivrogne corrigé); RCS (Soldier Emperor of Atlantis, Lippo Fiorentino Street Scene, Rinuccio Gianni Schicchi, Lacouf Mamelles de Tirésias).

Other parts include Young Opera Venture (Monostatos); Heritage Opera (Borsa, Spoletta); Amsterdam Festival (Tamino); Dutch National Opera (John Yoo The New Prince); Rhosygilwen Festival (Lensky); Opera Bohemia (Fenton). With NOISE he created Elijah Navigate the Blood.

He has worked at Grange Park (Mendel Fiddler on the Roof, Pony Express Rider Fanciulla del West). At Garsington in 2019 he is an Alvarez Young Artist.
