Charlie Drummond Suggest updates

English soprano.

Charlie Drummond completed a degree in English Literature at King's College, London.  She then moved to Glasgow to train at the Opera School of the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in 2013, studying with Clare Shearer.  She continued her training in London at the National Opera School. She is a Samling Young Artist and joined Scottish Opera as an Emerging Artist 2019/20.

Performances at RCS included: Purcell (Second Lady Dido and Aeneas); Handel (Poppea Agrippina); Salieri (Eleonora Prima la musica e poi le parole); Mozart (Countess Almaviva, Fiordiligi); J Strauss (Rosalinde Die Fledermaus) and Britten (Mrs Julian Owen Wingrave).

Further engagements include: Longborough Festival (Anna Bolena); Raucous Rossini (Sofia Il signor Bruschino); Lucid Arts (Serena Farage in premiere of Danyal Dhondy's The Secretary Turned CEO); Music CO-OPERAtive Scotland (Voice in premiere of Erik Chisholm's Simoon - also issued on CD).

She joined Scottish Opera for the Autumn 2019 tour of Opera Highlights, continuing through Spring 2020.  Further roles planned for 2020 include Helena A Midsummer Night's Dream and Casilda The Gondoliers.
