Died 1 May 1923.

English baritone and manager.

Charles Workman used the professional name Mr C H Workman. He spent the early years of his career with D'Oyly Carte, usually in the touring company, graduating to the comedy roles, in succession to George Thorne. His first role was Calynx in the first tour of Utopia Limited, and he played the costumier Ben Hashbaz in the 1896 London run of The Grand Duke. He later appeared in the London run of The Chocolate Soldier (Oscar Straus) and moved into theatrical management. His last years were spent performing in Australia. He died at sea while returning there from a tour of India (his wife having died in Calcutta a few weeks earlier).
