Barbara Cole Walton graduated with a Music in Opera with Distinction from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland (RCS). She is a recipient of the Sylva Gelber Music Foundation Award, was placed 2nd in the Ye Cronies Opera Award (RCS, 2015 & 2014), won the Governors’ Recital Prize in Singing (RCS), and was ‘commended’ in the Margaret Dick Award (RCS).

Previous operatic performances at the RCS include Thérèse/Tirésias in Poulenc’s Les mamelles de Tirésias, Lisette in Puccini’s La rondine, and Queen of Night in Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte. Other roles include Fanny in La cambiale di matrimonio and Isabella in L'inganno felice (both with Raucous Rossini), Wild Goose and Fido in Britten’s Paul Bunyan (British Youth Opera), and Eurydice in Offenbach’s Orphée aux Enfers (FAVA Opera). She has sung in new opera workshops for Scottish Opera, singing the title role in Delia by Tom Cunningham, as well as for Rough for Opera, singing the soprano roles in The Doll Behind the Curtain by Amir Mahyar Tafreshipour.

Her concert experience includes soprano soloist in Handel Messiah, Mozart Requiem, and Mozart Mass in C minor.
