Andrew Tipple studied History at Cambridge, becoming a Choral Scholar at King's College in 2005. He contibued his training in Glasgow under George Gordon at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.

His operatic roles at the RCS include Mendoza in Betrothal in a Monastery, Sarastro, Snug and Seneca. He also appeared with Garden Opera in Hampstead as Somnus in Semele. With Opera Bohemia he has appeared as Simone in Gianni Schicchi.
