Soprano.

Tanya Hurst studied in Australia, then in Manchester, at the Royal Northern College of Music. Awards include the Czech Song Prize, Emmy Destinn Young Singer's Award and Claire Croiza Prize for French Song. She was a finalist in the Wagner Society of England's Competition.

Roles at Grange Park Opera include Gerhilde Die Walküre. With English Touring Opera she has sung both Lady Macbeth & Lady-in-Waiting Macbeth.

Her repertoire includes Mozart (First & Second Ladies Magic Flute); Verdi (Annina La traviata, Amelia Un ballo in maschera); Wagner (Kundry, 1st Flowermaiden & 1st Esquire Parsifal); Smetana (Mařenka Bartered Bride); Offenbach (Antonia Tales of Hoffmann); Puccini (Musetta La bohème, Kate Pinkerton Madama Butterfly); Humperdinck (Gretel Hansel and Gretel); Janáček (Fox Cunning Little Vixen).
