Rudersdorff's first major success was the premiere of Mendelssohn's Lobgesang in 1840 at Leipzig.

Later career

In Great Britain she performed at the Drury Lane Theatre and the St James Theatre in London, as well as the Royal Italian Opera. Her performances in Scotland for Mr Wood's Edinburgh Italian Opera consisted of five roles in the year 1855.

Latterly Rudersdorff settled in Boston, USA, as a music teacher where her pupils included Lilian Henschel Bailey and Emma Thursby.
