Austrian soprano.

Christine von Widmann trained at the Vienna Academy and began her operatic career singing soubrette roles. She also included parts by Puccini (Musetta), Leoncavallo (Nedda) and Strauss (Sophie).  She appeared frequently in Switzerland, at Zurich, Lucerne and Basle. At the time of the British tour she was a member of the Berne Opera.
