Francesco Corti conducts the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland Orchestra with the Orchestra of Scottish Opera in a Wagner and Verdi Gala, timed to accord with the bicentenary of their births. Judith Howarth is the soprano.
The programme is of Wagner's Prelude to Act III of Lohengrin, Wesendonk Lieder and the overture to Tannhauser. There follows Verdi's overture to La Forza del destino and scenes from Simon Boccanegra.
The combined orchestral forces are joined by some of the illustrious vocal talent to have graduated from Scotland's national Conservatoire.
