Born Corozal, Puerto Rico.

Soprano.

Meechot Marrero  began singing in Puerto Rico with the San Juan Children's Choir.  After studying molecular biology at the University of Puerto Rico she attended the Puerto Rico Music Conservatory and the Yale School of Music, Connecticut.  She also trained in ballet and jazz and Latin dance.

She joined the ensemble of the Deutsche Oper, Berlin in the 2018-19 season.  Her roles there include Mozart (Papagena);  Wagner (Woglinde); Verdi (Oscar); Bizet (Micaëla, Frasquita); J Strauss (Adele); Puccini (Musetta, Liù); Janáček (Vixen); Prokofiev (Nicoletta Love for Three Oranges).
