Samson and Delilah 1910Moody-Manners Opera Company

Read more about the opera Samson et Dalila

Because of its Biblical source, Samson and Delilah took thirty years to reach the operatic stage in Britain. However it attained instant popularity, and allowed Zélie de Lussan to take on another femme fatale role as her career moved towards its end. With a second performance in each city, it also allowed for a change of principals.

The complete casts are from programmes in Aberdeen City Library, with variations specified in a review and announcements in the Dundee Advertiser.
