The Bolshoi Symphony Orchestra with soloists from the Bolshoi Opera are to open this year's Perth festival. Alexander Lazarev will conduct extracts from Eugene Onegin, including the Polonaise, Tatyana's letter scene, Onegin's aria (Act 1 Sc 3) and the final duet. The programme is completed with Prokofiev's Suite from the ballet Cinderella.
The soloists are billed as Andrei Breus (baritone) and Maria Pakhar (soprano)
