This memorable staging was a superbly affecting product of the Academy, in a year with a particularly strong team of women, led by Karen Cargill, Miranda Keys, and Lisa Carlioth. The direction by Will Kerley was wonderfully simple - the sets were simple and spacious. It built to an altogether harrowing climax, as each executed nun was replaced by a crimson scar across the pure white stage..
