This was an extremely clever piece of programming by the SNO's Swiss Chief Guest Conductor, Matthias Bamert.  Mozart's last, famously unfinished, work was coupled with the short opera Mozart and Salieri by Rimsky-Korsakov that took the fictitious tale of Mozart (tenor) being poisoned by Salieri (bass), familiar to most of the audience from Peter Shaffer's play Amadeus (or the Milos Forman film version of it).
