Opera in Glasgow

'At the Grand Theatre last evening the Royal Carl Rosa Opera Company gave a repeat performance of Il Trovatore.  The principals in the cast were Messrs Walter Wheatley, and Hebden Foster, and Misses Doris Woodall and Lilian Coomber.  The performance was very fine, and the principals were warmly applauded.'

Carl Rosa Opera Company - Closing Performances

'On Thursday evening the company gave a repeat performance of Verdi's Il Trovatore, which proved another great success.  The cast was identical with that of the previous performance, and the artistes were enthusiastically received.'
