Of the performance on Saturday 10 April, the Scotsman reviewer stated "...there were few, if any, empty seats in the King's Theatre. There are no 'off nights' with the Carl Rosa company, and the performance was excellent throughout."

As far as Scotland was concerned, the 1943 Carl Rosa season consisted of three weeks in Glasgow, followed by two in Edinburgh. Crowded houses were reported, further evidence being the Wednesday matinees.
