Opera Bohemia returns with further performances of the world’s favourite Russian opera, Tchaikovsky’s masterpiece, Eugene Onegin. Scottish favourites Douglas Nairne and Catriona Clark lead a star cast of professional singers including former Scottish Opera emerging artists Ross McInroy and Katie Grosset and English National Opera’s principal tenor from The Barber of Seville, Tyler Clarke. The opera, based on Alexander Pushkin’s famous verse novel, tells the story of a wealthy young man, who lives to regret his nonchalant dismissal of a young woman’s love.

John Wilkie’s imaginative production sets the action in the time of the Russian Revolution. Sung in Russian with English surtitles, and accompanied by piano (Andrew Brown) and violin (Feargus Hetherington).
