The autumn tour by Ellen Kent's company of Moldovan artists again consisted of two operas, and ran from 14 September to 9 December. Madama Butterfly continued to appear with high frequency. However it nevertheless seems to retain its popularity.

Perhaps more of a risk was taken with the second work, in that, for the first time, the company chose to bring one of the great Viennese operettas, Die Fledermaus, and perform it in English translation. This was likely to prove a challenge in some of the  larger venues, where dialogue might prove difficult to project.

The Scottish leg of the tour appeared, for once, well paced - opening in Aberdeen on 13 November with one Fledermaus folowed by two Butterflies. The 16th saw them immediately travel to Edinburgh for a repeat of the three shows. The 19th and 20th were rest days, followed by a single Fledermaus in Dundee on the 21st, and a repeat the next day in Glasgow followed again by two Butterflies.

The entire UK tour covered forty-two venues in total - thirty-three in England, four in Scotland, four in Ireland and one in Wales. Altogether there were 46 performances of Butterfly (six in Scotland) and 33 of Fledermaus (four in Scotland).

Casts are as detailed in the souvinir programme (Kate Pinkerton and other minor roles are not mentioned).
