The final performance of the three week season, and the occasion of the prima donna's benefit night. Clearly Madame Corri-Gilliess had every confidence in her ability to attract, and conquer, the audience with one of the most demanding roles in her repertoire. It was also a risk to have a young novice light soprano in the challenging role of Adalgisa.
Otherwise the well-routined cast was identical to that of the previous year.
