It is notable that this was the first time that Scottish Opera had produced a pre-Mozartian opera on its small-scale tour with piano accompaniment. In the spring of 1994 it went on to have further performances with a small orchestra accompanying the same cast of three principals, with the choruses sung by a vocal quartet who also danced a bit.
