A strong contingent of female students make this gripping masterpiece a useful display piece, here receiving its Scottish première.  The important female roles were all double-cast, a good indication of the strength in depth of the student body at that time, including Wilma MacDougall and Mhairi Lawson.  Perhaps it wasn't quite as wonderful as the team that returned to the work in 2001, but they were still very good.
