Josephte Clément Suggest updates

Canadian soprano.

Josephte Clément spent a few seasons working in Britain, when she displayed an extraordinary voice, able to encompass the contralto tones of the deepest Rhinemaiden and Rossini's Cenerentola as well as the dramatic coloratura soprano parts such as Alcina and Donna Anna. Between those extremes she also performed Mozart roles including Dorabella and Second Lady.

During this period she recorded small roles in three complete opera recordings conducted by Richard Bonynge with Joan Sutherland. These are Rose in Lakmé, a lady-in-waiting in Les Huguenots (the other lady being sung by a young Kiri Te Kanawa) and the Page in Rigoletto.
