Tenor and actor.

John Larsen began his career with Sadler's Wells Opera, playing a number of roles including Danilo in The Merry Widow.

Later London theatre work includes runs in the musicals Man of La Mancha and Showboat. He also toured the country many times in both musicals and plays, including Miranda, Quadrille and Oh! What a Lovely War, the last of which toured Scotland in 1979.

He worked extensively in Australia, starring in The Merry Widow, The Desert Song, The Student Prince, New Moon as well as Gilbert and Sullivan. His Australian work also included television, radio, concert and cabaret.

His varied British TV appearances included The Stars Look Down, The Life of Shakespeare and The Professionals.
