American tenor.

He bagan his career in his home state of Washington, at the Tacoma Opera. While he concentrates on opera, he has had an extensive concert career, with a repertoire that includes Handel's Messiah and the Bach Magnificat, as well as Rossini's Stabat Mater, and Schumann's Das Paradies und die Peri. He has also sung Britten's Serenade for tenor, horn and strings and a number of modern works.

His operatic career has been notable for two particular areas of specialisation, firstly the operatic works of Rossini, and secondly, French romantic opera.

His Rossini roles have included Lindoro (L'italiana in Algeri) in Washington and Toulon, Ramiro (La cenerentola) in Washington, Arnold (Guillaume Tell) in Warsaw, and Iago in New York. He has sung two of the tenor roles in Il viaggio a Reims, Belfiore and Count Libenskof. He has appeared in La donna del lago as Rodrigo di Dhu in New York, Genoa, Lisbon, Avignon, and La Coruña.

His French roles include Nadir in Cleveland, Leopold (La Juive) and Tonio (La fille du régiment) in Tel Aviv, and Roméo in San José. Other centres in which he has appeared include San Francisco, Madrid, Berne and Genoa.
