Ian Tindale Suggest updates

Accompanist and musical director.

Ian Tindale was an organ scholar at Selwyn College, Cambridge,, receiving the Tony Bland Prize for academic achievement, the Williamson Prize for performance and the Brian Runnett Prize for organ. He continued his training in London at the Royal College of Music, studying with Simon Lepper, John Blakely and Roger Vignoles. Further prizes include the accompanist's prizes at the Royal Overseas League competition and the Kathleen Ferrier Awards, as well as the Gerald Moore Award and the Association of English Singers and Speakers Accompanist's Prize. He is a Samling Artist and a Britten-Pears Young Artist.

As an accompanist he has worked in London (Wigmore and Cadogan Halls, and the Oxford and Buxton Festivals, as well as in Scotland, Paris, Corfu and Malta. As an opera repetiteur he has worked with British Youth Opera (The Bartered Bride), Cambridge Handel Opera (Atalanta), Ryedale Festival (The Coronation of Poppea, Alcina) and Samling Academy Opera (L'Enfant et les Sortilèges).
