Programme Note

The Money Man is set on the floor of the Stock Exchange. Comic and tragic by turns, it is a fast-moving satire on contemporary society and the financial values that underpin it. Against a background of tumbling share prices we see Tom Masters struggle to retain his financial empire...and his sanity. But what happens when his daughter Laura discovers he's squandered her inheritance? Will Jenna, the ruthless TV journalist, succeed in getting her story - and her billionaire? Can true love survive a world that is falling apart?

The Money Man has been developed as a one hour opera. We are presenting the first three scenes of this opera as part of its development process.
